James Sorrentino BSc (Hons). Director
James set up Lightwood Property in 2001 after extensive experience in commercial business development. His expertise is in Planning and Development control, working closely with Local Planning Authorities to keep ahead of the Local Borough’s Plans and demands. As a result the company has a complete understanding of Micro and Macro planning issues. He has successfully achieved planning permissions which have generated a total gross development value in excess of £60M and currently the company has £11M worth of gross development value in the planning system.
James has created a business with a reputation of success, stability and one of capability. Accordingly both Banks and Private Equity financiers are keen to partner or finance our projects which has created a quantum change for the business allowing us to deliver on larger commercial and strategic land projects.
Oliver Kubicki BA (Hons). Property & Land Consultant
Oliver joined Lightwood Property from MAA Architects. Drawing on his experience, which encompassed large high profile residential projects, he brings architectural and design expertise to the company and specifically his planning expertise in complex planning matters.
Aside from Oliver’s technical and legal knowledge of the more complex areas of planning, including land use and land charges, his architecture experience in creating 3D imagery and plans places him perfectly as an all round executive in the sector of strategic planning. Oliver is also responsible for the ongoing management of the strategic business ensuring that our target areas are fully researched and that the team is resourced to deal with the demands and change from the industry.
Roger Higgins. Finance and Land Consultant
Roger has worked in the financial industry for over 30 years and became fully involved in the property market in 1995. Roger's experience in finance with Colonial and Pearl underpins his work today, where he specialises in property valuations and finance. In latter years Roger has consulted for Countrywide Plc, the largest estate agents network in the country, making significant contributions to their land acquisitions business. With over 40 years experience in property finance Roger is a key contributor to our Land and Acquisition team.
Stephen Garford. Legal Consultant
Stephen is a consultant in the Property practice based in Hammonds London office. His particular expertise covers all areas of commercial property, acting for developers, occupiers, investors and local authorities. He enjoys complex projects, and devising bespoke solutions and documentation accordingly. Partner, Hammonds 1995 to 2002; Consultant, Hammonds 2003 to date.
Neil Davis BSc (Hons) MSc MRTPI. Planning Consultant
Neil has over 20 years experience in the town planning and development industry. Having initially worked in local government in Berkshire and Hampshire, Neil moved to a private planning practice in Windsor in 1999 and in 2003 was appointed Planning Manager to a major regional house builder. Davis Planning was formed in 2004 to provide a professional and reliable service to the development industry.
Neil’s experience has covered the full spectrum of town planning work from small projects up to large redevelopment proposals throughout London and the South East. He is particularly experienced at giving evidence at public inquiries and has represented national and local housebuilders in this field of work.
Matthew Allchurch. Architect
Prior to forming MAA in 1998 Matthew worked for BDP on Wimbledons new No.1 court and the Hampden Gurney School which was short listed for the prestigious Stirling prize for architecture. He takes an overview of all MAA project work and carries out detailed work on specific projects including the new concept Asda on Sutton High Street.
David Partridge. Landscape & Arboricultural Consultant
Provides Landscape and Arboricultural Consultancy and Project Management Services and has over 14 years experience within both the public and private sectors. Experience of all issues associated with environmental factors & development and land management. David has particular expertise in the field of arboriculture and is a past Chairman of the London Tree Officers Association.
Richard Broome BA(Hons) DipLA DipUD MLI
Richard Broome has over 15 years experience of urban regeneration and the design of the public realm, both in Britain and abroad. Richard has worked on urban design and masterplanning projects in a wide variety of contexts and scales. His principle skill is in the creation of dynamic yet contextual solutions, promoting the spatial contrast of streets and spaces. He has a thorough knowledge of both retail and residential environments and understands the key elements behind their requirements for regeneration. He has worked on significant city centre renaissance projects in Liverpool, Manchester, Sheffield and Belfast.
